Rwanda has officially resumed operations on its domestic gambling market following the issuance of three new licenses to bookmaking operators. The regulatory decision marks the formal restart of betting activities within the country.
Regulatory Update
The national oversight body completed the licensing process for the selected bookmakers, enabling them to launch commercial operations. Each approved company received the necessary authorization to conduct sports wagering and related services under current market conditions.The licensing phase concluded after a period of administrative review, during which operators were required to submit updated documentation and meet revised compliance standards. The three newly authorized bookmakers will now proceed with system integration and service activation.
Earlier market pauses were implemented to align local regulations with current industry requirements. The resumed operations reflect the completion of that alignment process.
